This must have been apéritif time on a summer evening. I probably loved the mustachioed gentleman calculator on the table more than the television - French TV in the 1980s was pretty bad aside from the occasional rerun of old movies, Zorro, Tex Avery cartoons and Roland Topor's Téléchat. If I'm not mistaken, that part of the farmhouse I grew up in was built in the 15 or 1600s, quite a contrast with the Fanta bottle!
